Defend the Castle is solid, straightforward tower-defense: spend gold and wood on cannons and archers, place them where the enemy waves will actually hit them, and upgrade what's working. The escalation is well-tuned — every wave feels survivable right up until it very nearly isn't.

- Cover chokepoints before open ground — funneled enemies are far easier to defend against.
