Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Playbreak (https://playbreak.site, "we", "us") is a free browser-games portal. This policy explains what data is collected when you use Playbreak, what is not collected, and how third parties fit in.

Short version: Playbreak has no accounts and no server-side database of visitor data. Almost everything the app "remembers" about you lives only in your own browser and never reaches us. The two exceptions are a privacy-focused analytics tool, and the embedded third-party game players, which run outside our control.

This is a genuine, usable policy — not a stub — but it has not been reviewed by a licensed attorney and is not a guarantee of compliance with any specific law (COPPA, GDPR, CCPA, or otherwise). We recommend professional legal review as the site scales, activates on-site advertising, or expands into new markets.

Information We Collect

Playbreak has no user accounts and no server-side database of user data. Instead, the app stores a small amount of personalization data directly in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never transmitted to us:

bg_recent_v1Games you've recently played, for your "Recently Played" list.
bg_favorites_v1Games you've marked as favorites.
bg_preferences_v1Lightweight preferences — currently just your last browsed category.
bg_scores_v1Your best score per game, so we can show a personal best.
bg_searches_v1Your last 8 search queries on the site.

None of this is linked to a name, email, or any other identifying information — Playbreak never asks for one. You can view or delete any of it at any time via your browser's own developer tools or site-data settings.

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-oriented, cookieless analytics service, on every page. It gives us aggregate page-view and performance data so we can understand site usage — it does not build an individual profile of you across sites.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, on our own servers: names, emails, phone numbers, or addresses; passwords or account credentials (we have no accounts); payment information (the Service is free); precise geolocation; or any data submitted through a contact/sign-up form — we don't currently operate one.

Cookies and Third-Party Tracking

Playbreak's own pages don't set tracking cookies, and our analytics integration is cookieless. Most games, however, are loaded inside an iframe served by GameMonetize or GamePix — a separate third-party context we don't control. While a game is loaded, that network's own advertising and analytics partners (declared in our ads.txt file) may set their own cookies and collect data such as IP address or device information, governed by that network's own privacy policy, not this one.

If you want to limit this kind of tracking, the most effective control is your browser's own cookie, tracking-protection, or ad-blocking settings — Playbreak has no technical ability to disable tracking inside a third party's iframe.

Advertising

Playbreak's own pages do not currently display ads. Advertising you may see is served inside the third-party GameMonetize/GamePix game players, controlled by those networks. Before we introduce advertising on our own pages, we'll update this policy to name the provider and any consent mechanism involved.

Children's Privacy

Playbreak is a casual, study-break games site likely used by visitors under 18, and possibly under 13. We don't operate accounts, so we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children — there's no form or account flow through which it could be submitted.

We are not formally COPPA-certified. In the interest of transparency: the third-party game iframes described above run for every visitor with no age check, and their advertising partners may collect advertising identifiers regardless of age. If you're a parent or guardian with a concern about a specific game or partner, contact us below — we will look into it and, where warranted, remove the game.

Data Retention & Your Controls

We retain no personal data on our servers, because we collect none. Your local-storage personalization data persists in your browser until you clear it; we have no ability to see, retrieve, or delete it remotely, since we never receive a copy.

To view or delete it: use your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage) or "Clear browsing data" for playbreak.site. Because we hold no server-side personal data tied to you, an access/deletion request to us has nothing to look up — if you submit one anyway, we'll confirm that in writing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices change — for example, when on-site advertising is activated. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do.
